Chris Connor
Founder, Gray Raven Design
Chris Connor is a creative leader and entrepreneur with over 20 years of experience launching and scaling design-forward ventures.

His career spans a wide creative spectrum—from leading interactive media teams at Leopard Communications (now part of Ogilvy) to building acoustic guitars and high-end wooden bicycles. At Leopard, he directed digital marketing campaigns and managed cross-disciplinary teams serving major clients like IBM, Agilent, and Western Union—experience that sharpened his ability to guide complex, high-stakes projects from concept through execution.
Before launching Gray Raven, Chris led fabrication and product development at The Public Works / Supple Collection, producing brand environments and experiential builds for clients such as Red Bull, Smartwool, Aspen Ski Company, and Moët Hennessey. He also founded Connor Wood Bicycles, a globally recognized line of handcrafted wooden bikes that reflect his signature blend of aesthetics, sustainability, and engineering.
Driven by a passion for bringing ideas to life through form and function, Chris specializes in building teams, systems, and creative processes that deliver beautiful, high-impact work. Outside the studio, he enjoys skiing, hiking, and riding the bikes he designs.
Juan Hernandez –
Juan Hernandez is a professional maker from Venezuela with an extensive background in architecture, fabrication, industrial design, and animation. After studying architecture and industrial design in Venezuela, Juan moved to Colorado and obtained a digital animation degree from the University of Colorado while working in an architectural firm. After wearing many professional “hats”, it was clear to him that his main passion was to turn complex ideas into tangible things. He then found new opportunities in New York working for a reputable company, designing and fabricating custom children’s furniture. After getting married, he moved back to Colorado to raise a family and to pursue a more hands-on approach to design challenges.
Juan is enthusiastic about Gray Raven because he enjoys the diverse and challenging nature of his work. He is excited to be surrounded by so many ambitious and hardworking individuals. Additionally, he holds a personal fascination for learning and thoroughly enjoys being able to drive the process of improving branded environments.
When Juan is not at work, he enjoys spending time with his family and friends. Besides having an obsession with efficiency and precision, he is also interested in thinking outside boxes, puzzles, sculptures, and Frisbee golfing.
